The course then shoots runners back out into the meadow to reconnect with Pioneer Trail to the finish line. From there, runners will weave their way up to where they will run through the trees along the foot of the mountain. The first stretch is a steady downhill along highway 74. Runners will start on Pioneer trail and head clockwise around the meadow. This 5K/10K race leads runners throughout the rolling hills of Elk Meadow Open Space Park.

Participants should meet at the Buchanan Park Recreation Center near the Pioneer Trailhead. While ascending approximately 1,500 feet, runners will peak at a total elevation of 9,000 feet as they cover this 13.1 mile course. This race is epic! Bergen Peak runners will endure the rolling hills of Elk Meadow and the strenuous switchbacks of Bergen Peak and Too Long Trail. Evergreen Trail Race Series CANCELED - Bergen Peak Half Marathon - June 3 There will be no refunds in the event of a race cancellation. Please Note: In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen trail conditions the race director reserves the right to delay, cancel, move or reschedule the race.
